Ice Dreams Showcase (2005)
More than 700 people came to New Glasgow's west side from February 4-6, when the community celebrated its annual West Side Winter Carnival.
As part of the national Ice Dreams initiative, the Office of Health Promotion showcases an outdoor rink annually to create awareness and to celebrate all outdoor rinks and outdoor play in winter. People have been skating on New Glasgow's outdoor rink each winter for nearly 70 years!
Do you want us to showcase your outdoor rink in 2006? Contact Jody at conradjo@gov.ns.ca.
